On a hot day, nothing can beat a shave ice from Ice Garden, finely shaved ice, it's so soft and fine that it just melts in your mouth. So refreshing and tasty. Price is very reasonable, but just have to remember it's cash only.

I didn't grow up eating Ice Garden, but was introduced to it by many friends who are advocates for a small neighborhood staple. I can see why Ice Garden has persevered throughout the years. The shop is humble, nostalgic, and hits the spot when you're sweltering on that hot parking level. My go to flavors are any light and fruity, like the grape flavors, strawberry and blue vanilla. I like to add the mini mochi balls as they're SWEET and not bland blobs of dough. The syrups are made in house and they are thick. So give it a minute to set into the fluffy shave ice. The shop is still cash only, so be prepared for that and bring a hat if you're standing in the sun. The shops process is: take a order, make the order, give the order, then take the next order. So make sure you have everything you need so you don't need to go back in line!

This small mom and pop shave ice spot specializes in Asian inspired flavors including halo halo, milk tea, taro, and more. They've truly nailed the 'not too sweet' expectation that's sought after in desserts among the Asian culture. '#5': Milk shave ice with taro and mochi balls. I added a custard/flan to this, which was honestly a game changer! The shave ice was soft and the flavor was like a lightly sweetened milk tea. Loved the taro, and the mochi balls added a nice chewy texture to it. Portion sizes are generous as well! The lines here can get long, but that's how you know it's legit! Cash only place!!

Just had the most amazing treat at Ice Garden in Aiea! This small shave ice business is an absolute gem that you don't want to miss. I went for their lilikoi flavor with ube ice cream on the bottom, and it was out of this world! The shave ice here is incredibly smooth and creamy, very similar to the texture of Korean bingsu. Ice Garden specializes in ice milk shave ice, making each bite rich and delightful. Their house-made flan is another highlight--super creamy and delicious, a perfect addition to their unique offerings. The lilikoi flavor was vibrant and refreshing, perfectly complemented by the ube ice cream's rich, earthy notes. If you find yourself in Aiea, make sure to swing by Ice Garden for a sweet escape. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this place will not disappoint. Trust me, you'll want to come back for more!

Still amazing flavor-wise! They have a full menu available, something for everyone on the wide spectrum of cool and sweet treats. Still cash-only but $20 cak take you far. Enough to share! Always happy to support local right in down the street from home. On hot days this is the best place to be!

Something about Ice Garden is so nostalgic. They haven't changed much since I used to come here as a kid. I will always come here when I'm in the area! I am obsessed with their oatmeal and have been for the past decade or so. Who would've thought you could put oatmeal on shave ice? I think they use a milk syrup on top the ice, but it doesn't need much syrup from the sweet oatmeal topping. Parking in this lot on the same level can be a mess, even at off-peak hours, but it's definitely worth circling around for the best shave ice. I paid for three bowls and it came out to around $25. I was a little bit shocked at the price, since they don't post their prices anywhere, or at least I don't think they do for the speciality combos. It's also cash only.

I'm so glad I got to try this place. Honestly, this is an easy place to miss. If you aren't told about it, you might not give it a chance. It's surrounded by closed down shops. But when you give it a try, you won't regret it. Their shave ice takes it to the next level. Way more than just syrup and ice. The custard is soooo good it could be its own dessert. The portions here are huge and it's definitely shareable. Be aware that they only accept cash tho.

My go to shave ice spot! It's been a minute since I visited here. Used to come here all the time with my family as a kid. My go to is number 5 with custard pudding, which is cheaper than ordering number 7 with taro topping. They both turn out to be the same thing in the end but you save yourself a few dollars. If you haven't tried the taro topping, try it out! Check em out!

Nothing brings back childhood memories like old school mom & pop places like this. Although you can no longer sit inside and the awesome ladies that used to run it are no longer there, it still hits the spot. Bowls and spoons are different from before, in fact they're eco friendly...mochi balls are smaller and probably aren't hand made anymore. I still love me a bowl of my fave...#29! Oat meal with chocolate and mochi balls! They're only open from 12- 5p on certain days so make sure to plan ahead.
